Bay Windows

It is an arrangement of three or more individual window units. It is installed by adding a projection to the wall from outside that gives a stylish look. Bay windows enable you to enjoy a panoramic view of the outside by sitting on your couch sipping a cup of hot chocolate or cold coffee. Due to its panoramic nature, it gives a sense of more space at your place. It enables more light coming to your house. With option to choose from different materials and colours, you can have a bay window tailored to suit your property. You can have bay windows installed in four major configurations: single-end bay, splay bay, circular bay and square bay.

We, at Shield Glazing, offer a wide range of bay windows in different materials: aluminium, wooden & uPVC. If you are looking for a traditional look, you will either be using timber (wood) or uPVC. For a more contemporary and modern look, aluminium is the material to use. These features a range of colours for you to choose so that this gives the perfect ambiance to your place. For added insulation and heat efficiency, we offer double and triple glazing option along with the basic single one. The space between panes of bay windows is filled with Argon gas and the spacers are insulated with a low-conduction material to hold in more heat.

Most modern windows are manufactured with aluminium material. These are the slimmest frames that are highly durable. Due to the slimness, it enables additional glass which enables more light coming into your house. These require low level of maintenance.

Timber

These are crafted with soft or hard wood depending upon your choice. We source high-quality soft or hard wood and give extra strength through lamination. Afterwards, we apply the micro-porous paint and stain finishes to keep it protected from external elemants.

UPVC

If you are looking for a simple option, uPVC is the choice to make. These are highly secure with virtually no maintenance at all. uPVC is not going to rot, rust or flake. With added A++ triple glazing, these ensure highest level of thermal efficiency.

Additional Options

Double Glazing

These are manufactured using a single frame and a single glazed unit. Argon gas is sandwiched between two panes of glass. It provides thermal insulation i.e. retaining heat in a room and stopping cold air to enter.

Triple Glazing

Triple glazing adds three glasses separated with two air gaps that slows down the transfer of heat and cold. The additional depth ensures significant thermal efficiency as compared to the double glazing or normal glazing option.

Noise Reduction Technology

We do have an option for acoustic glass that reduces the amount of noise that is transmitted from outside to inside the house. Basically, it is a glazing unit with a laminated pane of glass that dampen sound.
